3. A Strange Friendship
In a forest there was a deer. It had a baby. One day, when the baby deer was roaming in the forest it, met a cub. The baby deer was initially scared of the cub, but the cub took a liking for the baby deer. It came near the deer and said, “Let us be friends.” After that, the baby deer and the cub were roaming together in the forest. Other animals in the forest were astonished by this scene. The mother deer saw the baby deer walking with the cub. It became frightened. It wanted to pull the baby and take it away. At that time, a lion, the mother of the cub appeared there. The mother deer was frightened thinking that the lion was going to kill the baby deer. But, the lion just looked at the baby deer and moved away. It turned, looked at the mother deer and said, “I will not harm your baby because it is a friend of my baby. I will not harm you also. So, don't worry.” Mother deer felt relieved.
